Finally!!!

It feels so good to move from demo to build! We finally finished chipping, and I do mean chipping all of the laminate tile away from our concrete floor, which will get a cool paint job soon. Check out the video of the final push.

Yeah it was that much of a pain! But with the hardest and most frustrating work behind us we can move forward tomorrow with framing in the retail counter and repair area, and we already started painting the walls and figuring out the final layout. This is where the growth of the character of the shop will begin, so be sure to check in regularly to see the progress.

Now on to the Weekend update on the conditions in the Uintas. With the hope to put together a "sick edit" we started our Pinnacle Studios editing software but alas Windows 10 strikes a blow to our ability to get you a "legit" video conditions update. Hopefully this description and some youtube editing will suffice.

We headed up Mirror Lake highway out of the snow in Kamas wondering if there would be enough snow to ski on and if the conditions would sun up a bit. Sure enough about the time we got to the seasonal closure at Soapstone Basin the clouds parted and a beautiful morning presented itself. We saw that the "hard" closure had been removed and we were on the "closed road" portion of the season, so we Adventured On! So we drove over some snow patches and eased our way to the final snowpile at Cobblerest Campground and parked with a couple of snowmobile trailers. Time to gear up and make a trip out of it. We skied up Mirror Lake for a few miles enjoying the Spring Sun on our skin. The dogs couldn't get enough of the fresh 2 inches on top of the solid refrozen base. We skied without seeing a soul for an hour or so then decided to turn around and make our way down the gentle grade of the Highway to Cobblerest and the Provo River to do a bit of off-roading. The snow was still punchy off the skis, so we still recommend some type of accessory for your weekend. Feel free to hit us up with any questions you might have as well, we'd be glad to recommend a route for your Adventure. Here's a video of the Adventure if you'd like to check us out. What a great break from that stupid TILE!!!

Now that you have been inspired, go have a GREAT WEEKEND!
